Calif. Writers Club, Sacramento Branch Welcomes Pet-Edutainer Arden Moore!

June is Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat month, and for cat lovers and writers, what better way to celebrate then to meet Arden Moore!  Of course, we have dog lovers among us too!  On Saturday, June 19, 2010, Arden will be appearing at two events in the greater Sacramento region.

At both events, Arden will be signing her books:  The Cat Behavior Answer Book, The Dog Behavior Answer Book, Happy Cat Happy You, Happy Dog Happy You, and Real Food for Dogs.

First, Arden will be guest speaker at the California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch luncheon meeting, in Sacramento, to talk about “Surviving and Thriving as a Pet Author in this Crazy Social Media World.”

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Luau Garden, 1890 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA  95815

This booksigning event will include the Sacramento SPCA, who will set up a mobile pet adoption, and a Barnes & Noble Bookfair fundraiser to benefit the Youth Outreach Program of our club.  Shoppers can designate purchases to the “California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch” so that a percentage of the net sales will be contributed to our program.

Everyone is invited to support us through June 20, 2010, by shopping online at bn.com/bookfairs and entering Bookfair ID number 10225001 at checkout.

Please note:

Your support of our Youth Outreach Program is appreciated!  Funds raised will be designated for a community youth project to encourage kids to read and write, and to use their voice to make a difference.

As Arden would say, “paws up!” and “mutts thanks!”
