Just returned from scenic — and sweat-inducing — Johns Creek, Georgia where I am teaming up with TV personality and design expert Jason Cameron to transform this city’s humble dog park into a Disneyland for dogs. Thanks to resident Pat McNeely who submitted the winning entry in the Beneful Wag World Dream Dog Park, the city is getting a $500,000 makeover for its canine hangout. Yep, you read right: half-million dollars.
Credit Pat McNeely, a friendly guy, father of three and pet parent of 3 dogs, for submitting the winning entry. By his side at the event was his ever-grinning Siberian Husky, Koda, who appears to know that this IS some type of big deal.
I also loved meeting Jason, host of Man Caves on DIY Network. He is also proud of his dog, CJ who is battling back from osteosarcoma that necessitated in amputating his leg. We worked with the Beneful team and Cone, Inc. at the official unveiling of the dream dog park.
Look for earth to move quickly on this site that will feature a water splash area, giant bone-shaped ramps and tunnels, plenty of shade, synthetic turf, fountains for two- and four-leggers and maybe even a “golden oldies” section for the big senior dogs to chill and enjoy the high-energy antics of young dogs. Learn more by checking out my videos posted on YouTube (ArdenMooreKnowsPets) and my Facebook page. We will be posting the radio show episode from the big event soon on Pet Life Radio. Check out the videos of the 10 finalists (each of them wins a year’s supply of Beneful for their dogs) by visiting http://www.benefuldreamdogpark.com.
